Seven

I shall pass on to you this Knowledge combined with direct experience. When this is known in full, there is nothing more to be known.

O Arjuna. In this vast universe there is nothing higher than I. All this is strung on Me as clusters of gems on a string.

Know Me O Arjuna as the eternal seed in all beings. I am the intelligence of the intelligent, the radiance of the beautiful.
7:10

And know that the three qualities of the soul come from me—peaceful light, restless life and lifeless darkness. But I am not in them; they are in Me.
7:12



O Arjuna. By the delusion of the pairs of opposites—attraction and aversion, like and dislike, desire and hatred—all beings are subject to illusion in the world.

Those who take refuge in me, striving for liberation from aging and death, come to know Brahman, the Self, and the nature of action.

Eight

At the time of death, he who leaves his body remembering Me only attains my Being. There is no doubt about this.
8:5

Therefore, remember Me at all times. Remember Me and fight. Surrendering your mind and intellect to Me, you shall in truth come to Me.
8:7

There is a reward that comes from studying the Veda, or from sacrifice, or from leading a life of austerity, or from giving. But the yogi who knows the truth of the two paths of light and darkness attains a far greater reward—the Supreme state, his everlasting home.
