this eternal dance of Shiva Nataraj ever flitting through all names and forms and circles of fire
ever standing still
as worlds come and go in the game of life
while universal law in its essence

This divine illusion of mine, made up of the three qualities(gunas)
is difficult to overcome. Those who take refuge in Me alone are able to
cross over this maya. 7:14 (Bhagavad Gita) (note: "Me" here refers to the highest formless "God" . For Krishna is one embodiment of the avatar, as are Christ, Buddha, Mohammed and others.) |

The cow gives freely to all, for it is her nature to give. Creation is an offering of Love, in which we can each participate. How can we live in the all-inclusive loving giving that comes so naturally to the cow? What is the relationship between inner effort and being—being open to the grace that is always here? May our yearning lead us to receive Love and be vehicles for Love—until one day the dividing line between this and that dissolves. May we come to experience in a natural conscious way, the pure loving giving that is instinctive to the cow. Creation is an offering of Love, in which we can each participate.
Set your heart on Me alone and keep your intellect with
Me. Then you will surely live in Me always. 12:8

In the true devotee love and detachment unite. The ups & downs produced by the opposing constituents of matter no longer find foothold. The incessant churning of positive and negative, desire and ambivalence, stress and insecurity seems to dissolve. And the see-saw wanderings of seek and hide, lose and find do surely come to an end. All the rumblings of matter stand still, united in intensity and sweetness in the heart of the devotee.
Who is balanced in praise and in blame, whose soul is silent, content with whatever comes, steady minded, whose home is not in this world, and who is loving-this person is very dear to me. 12:19

When we reach the space of loving consciousness with ongoing compassion for all, the sages say, we experience the bliss of oneness—that can never be taken away.
And when he sees me in all and he sees all in me, then
I never leave him and he never leaves me. 6:30 (JM) |
